Multitasking is the idea of doing several things at the same time.
For example, you can be writing and at the same time talking through your phone. By doing those two tasks you’re doing multitask.
That’s the main idea with multitasking.
This is applied to people but it was primarily used in software where multitasking means using several programs at the same tame. This is a feature in smartphones.
The first time multitask were used was in 1965. It was in a paper of IBM System/360 capabilities.
In other words, it originated in the tech world but now is used in the psychology/biology world.
