This is my list of the worst foods I have ever seen and now I can explain why they are so bad for your health. So let’s start.
Although I’m sure there’s a lot of food that are bad for our health and that aren’t in this list but to sum up those that aren’t natural and fresh are bad for our health, and if it’s more processed or with more processed ingredients it’s because is worst that others.
Fast Food Sandwich
The problem are the ingredients high in sodium and other preservatives that harm our body. This is because each ingredient like ham high in nitrates, processed meat, bromate bread, canned tuna high in toxins and preservatives, and much others. In anyway the right decision is to make your own sandwich at home with fresh ingredients which is more healthy and it’s cheaper.
Burgers are worst than sandwich because those have almost no veggies so in this way it turns into a nightmare for our liver, pancreas and all digestive system. By the way, you should know that a photographer from NYC made some shootings of a burger over the time and it looked the same for weeks since it’s filled with trans fats that have several cardiovascular diseases, cancer and others.
Whatever you buy on the street is bad for your health because they use oil high in trans fat. Beside that they use butter which can make it worst. But if you prepare it yourself will be much better.
Sausage is in no way nutritive because is highly processed and beside that is prepared with oils that rise it’s levels of sodium and trans fat. It have nitrates that promote cancer.
Arepa & Empanada
The problem with this treats is again the oil. Also the sauces and cheese are a big problem. The best idea that you could have is to go home a prepare it yourself with bran, oats, chia seeds and other ingredients that have a better nutritional content and help with the digestion. Also in this way you can control all the ingredients to make sure that even the sauces are fresh and more healthy. You can be sure that buying this in the street is a great mistake that you will have to pay later.
Pizza as any other fast food is high in sodium, trans fats, cholesterol and gluten which is a deadly team for our digestive system. When our digestive system overload with all this food it start to get toxins that eventually affects several organs which can cause several diseases over the years. So only if you have a great and nutritive diet, then sometimes you can have a treat like pizza. Also is good to have a pizza with green leafy veggies like spinach because those improve the digestion and are highly nutritive. By the way you can also prepare pizza with quinoa, oats, chia seed, bran and others.
In this beverages you can find propylene glycol alginate (E405) which is also used as automotive antifreeze, but since it’s also a food thickener, stabilizer and emulsifier, you can find it in several foods so look out the ingredients because this can cause cardiovascular or neurotoxic issues.
Just choose fresh fruit juice with no additives and no added sugar.
Is considered as the worst fish ever. Eating this fish is like drink some battery acid because of its amount of mercury. And the best fish you can have is Mackerel because it has high levels of omega-3 fatty acid and zinc. Also you should know that unless you can have fresh fish you should it them because they get quickly toxic when it’s outside water.
This snack have high levels of trans fat that can affect our heart and it also have perfluoroctanoic acid (PFOA) which is the same toxic compound found in teflon pots and pans.
Beside that when it comes with butter it’s laced with diacetyl (DA) which is a chemical that has been found to break down the layer of cells that protects our brain.
The best thing you can do is to make your own healthy snack which will be more tasty, so there’s no good reason to buy microwave popcorn.
Fast Food Chicken Nuggets
The problem starts with chicken but also because it contains several synthetic ingredients like diglycerides, red #40, carrageenan, and much more. This chemicals keeps the very few organic materials in the nuggets from looking weird after days or months. So it’s better if you make your own nugget at home which is healthier and very easy as you can watch on some videos in Youtube.
Sugary Fruit Juice
Fruits have sugar already so when you add processed sugar in your juice you’re actually just making water with sugar. Beside that as I said you usually add processed sugar (sucrose) which make our liver and pancreas work harder producing several changes in our body. The fruit has fiber in the amount it needs to help process the sugar (fructose) that it already has, so when we add more sugar we are damaging the balance and that can be a real problem. So don’t add water or sugar. Just fruit.
The main problem with candy is the sugar and saturated fat. Processed sugar is like poisson meanwhile saturated fat is better when we obtain it through natural sources like nuts. Also candy usually have artificial colours like yellow #5 and #6 that promote attention deficit disorder (ADD) in children. You can have a treat but definitely you shouldn’t make them a daily meal.
It’s clear that processed sugar is bad for our health and since this cereal are filled with this sugar it’s a bad idea for nutritional breakfast. Beside that it has Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT) or Butylated Hydroxyanisole (BHA) which are considered to be carcinogenic.
It has Aspartame which is an artificial sweetener that raises glucose levels overloading the liver and causing the excess to convert into fat. Also the caramel coloring can be carcinogenic.
Diet sodas usually have BVO which is a chemical used in rocket fuel and flame retardants that may cause fertility and can negatively affect thyrod hormones. It also has BPA which is a chemical linked to obesity.
Coffee creamer and sunblock contain titanium dioxide which is an ultraviolet radiation blocker that double as a whitening agent. Coffee creamer is packed with trans fats known as hydrogenated oil and also added sugar so it can have several health implications.
Like bacon, sausage and other processed meats contain nitrates and also preservatives that interferes with the body’s natural ability to process sugar, which increases the risk of diabetes, also up your odds of developing thyroid and colon cancer.
Most processed meats are also loaded with sodium, a known contributor to hypertension that can make you bloat and set you up to develop heart disease. So search for a more fresh unprocessed options.
Deep Fried Foods
It could be fried chicken, fried cheese sticks, fried calamari, french fries and others, are usually done in partially hydrogenated oil which means it has trans fats.
It’s a better idea to instead bake your food in the oven.
This foods have a lot of preservatives, artificial fillers and mountains of sodium that wreak havoc on your mood, frozen entrees are not to be trusted. Fresh and natural food will never have trans fats so choose those.
Chinese food is often loaded with MSG (monosodium glutamate) which is a flavour enhancer found in other types of food such as soups, processed meats, and more. MSG is related with obesity. By the way I have to clear that I mean chinese food as in restaurants not about food in China. Just in case you should know.
It’s not enough that it has processed sugar, calories and fat. But those also have high levels of sodium to preserve them.
Monochromatic Beige Entrees
When your whole entree is only yellow you can be sure that it doesn’t have any nutritive content even if it’s veggies because when you fried them they lose its nutritive content.
All this beverages are a overpriced cocktail with the caffeine content of a strong cup of coffee and a lot of sugar.
Most ice creams are overload with sugar and soybean oil. Some even have harmful artificial colouring agents and titanium dioxide which are all bad for our health.
Compared to fresh-made drinks, most of them fall short on nutrition and are so calorie-and sugar- filled that can harm your body.
This is another trans fat full filled food and to have them at breakfast make them worst because for breakfast the food should be easy digestible.
Famous syrup brands are made with two ingredients which are high fructose corn syrup and caramel colouring and those are two body harmful ingredients.

By definition all atlantic salmon is farm raised and packed with inflammatory omega-6s. Also it have been found to be high in PBCs which is a industrial chemical that were banned in 1979 in USA because it can cause cancer. So instead choose wild salmon high in omega-3 acids that fight inflammation.
Although it provides critical post-workout electrolytes, like sodium and potassium, but the beverage is teeming with stomach-churning additives like wood rosin and artificial dyes that have been linked to cancer and hyperactivity in children.
Pick up fruit and veggies instead which can also have electrolytes and nutrients that can help you with muscle recovery and weight loss.
When foods lack a dominant flavour, people are less apt to feel full and in turn you end consuming more. This is also because it has MSG (monosodium glutamate).
It’s filled with MSG and colorant yellow #6. It’s also one of the most addictive foods.
It’s filled with palm oil, which is is a fat that promotes inflammation. And since cookies are one of the most difficult to eat in moderation, it can be a real problem. By the way it also has alkali processed cocoa and it’s high in fructose corn syrup so you already know how bad it is.
Many popular brands add monosodium glutamate to this canned soup. And beside that all canned food are bad for our health since they use a lot of preservatives.
Those cubes have MSG and also colorant yellow #5 and yellow #6.
This is another food filled with processed sugar and fat that make them addicting but also hard to digest. Plus those also have soybean oil, high fructose corn syrup and trans fats which are related with brain problems but that’s more because the digestive problems.
Mac and cheese
It has coloring agents yellow #5 and yellow #6, and coloring agents are linked to allergies, ADHD, and cancer in animals.
Flavourless tofu – which is made by coagulating soy milk and pressing the resulting curds into soft white blocks – using coagulant magnesium sulfate can cause cancer. Just don’t use it.
it has high levels of sodium and cancer-causing preservative nitrates. But also hot dogs are coloured with a food dye called orange B. High doses of it are bad for the liver and bile duct.
Some companies spray-paint oranges so they would appear ripe even if the aren’t. All of these dyes can damage our bodies and cause cancer. So opt for organic oranges.
This milkshakes has potassium sorbate which is considered carcinogen. Also they are high in sugar content and as a cold drink they cause digestive problems.
Some of this products have tert-Butylhydroquinone as a preservative and this in high doses can cause stomach tumors. And as I had said, all non fresh fish is bad for our health.
Soy Veggie Burgers
This burger has soy protein which is made from genetically modified soybeans and then subjected to hexane, a chemical solvent that can literally explode.
When you chew gum, this release butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) in your mouth. BHA is a preservative that have shown to impair blood clotting when consumed in high quantities, but it’s also linked with tumor growth. This preservative has been banned in several countries like UK, Japan and more.
Beside this, the simple fact that you chew gum make you take small quantities of air that get into your bowels producing gases.

Chlorine dioxide is used in water treatment and in the whitening of flour. The problem is that this chemical is linked with cancer.
White sugar is processed with a whitening process that consist in running the sugar through “bone char” or “natural carbon” which are terms used for charred cattle bones.
So all kind of sugar derived from that are also bad for our health. The best sugar you can have is non processed or brown sugar. But there is a brown sugar that is obtained from white sugar so you have to be well informed what sugar you are about to buy. In any case sugar is bad for our health and you should cut it out of your daily choices at least try to.
Arsenic is a toxic chemical that helps to kill parasitic infections in poultry. Because of that, there’s a arsenic-based drug called Nitarsone that has been giving to turkeys during the first few weeks of their lives. Just remember that this chemicals are hard to expel in any organism so when you eat turkey you might be getting it’s arsenic levels as well. So for this, remember that arsenic is highly toxic to humans and so choice an organic raised turkey.
Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose is used as a thickening agent in salad dressing and, in high quantities, it can cause cancer.
So instead of buying salad dressing, prepare your own at home using fresh ingredients like olive oil, balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, honey, and others.
The problem with baked goods is potassium bromate that can be found in wraps, rolls, bread crumbs and bagel chips. This food additive is an oxidising agent used in baking and it’s linked to kidney failure and cell deterioration.
BPA is a hormone-mimicking chemical found in nearly all food packaging plastics. The problem with this chemical is that it disrupt hormone levels and can promote cancer and make people infertile.
Dried Fruit Snacks
This food had sulfites which is naturally occur in all wines and are added to some others. Sulfites are used to keep prepared foods fresh. This can produce some reactions like sneezing, swelling of the throat, hives and migraine. Also you should know that when you dried fruit it’s density of sugar is higher and so you should eat it in moderation. Most people doesn’t know this so they get sick.
